A Fresh Start Begins Here | Help Someone Feel at Home

Welcome Housing & Support Services is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to tackling the housing crisis in our province. We work tirelessly to support individuals from diverse backgrounds—including seniors on fixed incomes, people experiencing mental illness, those without housing, and individuals at risk of eviction. Our goal is to connect people with stable housing and vital resources from the ground up, and to help them remain housed through proactive eviction prevention strategies.

We recognize that homelessness and eviction are not the core problems, but rather the outcomes of many complex, individual factors. In working closely with our clients, we’ve seen that lasting change comes from addressing the root causes of their housing instability—such as lack of personal support, difficulty navigating increasingly digital systems, and unaddressed mental health challenges. Ongoing support after housing, including help with food security, budgeting, and life skills, is critical in helping people adjust to their new circumstances and move forward in living healthy, stable, and fulfilling lives.

We are launching this fundraiser to expand our capacity and offer a more holistic approach to supporting our clients. Transitioning from homelessness to housing can be overwhelming, and we strive to ease that shift by providing essential items for their new homes.

If you’d like to contribute, we offer three donation kit options to support individuals as they settle into their new space. Your generosity helps create a solid foundation for long-term success.

How to Make A Donation Towards Our Kits

To sponsor a Donation Kit, click our “Make A Donation” button to access our secure donation platform. Enter the amount that matches the kit you’d like to provide and, in the message/comment box, write “Donation Kit 1,” “Donation Kit 2,” or “Donation Kit 3.” This ensures your gift is directed to this special fundraiser. Once your donation is received, Welcome Housing will purchase the kit through our IKEA account and deliver it to a client moving into their new home. Your support helps transform an empty apartment into a safe, welcoming space.
